🛻 Prism Heron Simulator CN-CRANE-001 · M26-1009

LIVE = renders the real DMX that the lightshow runtime sends over Art-Net (first run bun run scripts/lightshow-bridge.ts, so lightshow sends Art-Net to this machine). Lasers use the native lightshow optical pipeline; the bytes have already passed the ARM gate, so a powered-down laser renders black. Off = manual sliders (default for offline deployments).

Red wireframe is steady-on or smooth chase only — never strobe (emergency-vehicle light ban, strobe-capped).

LED strips recessed into the aluminum plate seams (the wide hull seams = glowing tubes), color-linked to the wireframe. 0 = red (brand default). MUST be fully off for road transport (red light facing forward is illegal).

Mechanical + DMX dual limits: heads can only aim up / left, never sweeping the driver sightline and never hitting mirrored aluminum plate.

Separate distribution + key kill; E-stop cuts all lasers. Beacon mode: the four heads converge into a near-vertical slow-rotating light column + heartbeat pulse (~0.2 Hz, not strobe) — the dustier it gets the more visible it is, so the heron can be found from anywhere on the playa.

+90° = looking at the crowd (left). The neck truss stays fixed; only the head rotates at the neck joint (3-position pin: fwd / L45 / L90). The beak laser turns with the head.

Headlights ≥30ft · brake lights · extremity markers (wingtips / head / tail / wheel arches) · stair lighting · self-lit tow hitch. With show lights blacked out the compliance layer MUST stay lit (night inspection is one-shot).

Volume >0 lets you audition (synth beat, varies with the listening point). "Moving/Parked" only switches the acoustic deployment (on-vehicle cardioid pair ↔ ground-stack array); it does not cap power.

🏜 Open playa: away from camps — volume is capped only by the 5.5kW generator limit; moving or parked does not affect power.

Parked mode: toggle "aligned / not aligned" to demo power-alley comb cancellation — when the on-vehicle and ground sources are not time-aligned they fight each other.

All speakers bolt low on the steel frame (vibration pads); no speakers on the wings (fabric) or the bird head.

● sphere = quick-disconnect (one per demountable part boundary, keyboard-style assembly). Signal and power cables run in separate conduits to prevent crosstalk hum; wingtip cables follow the wing spar, with a service loop at each hinge; cables are hidden inside the box tubes, with grommets at every exit.

DMX trunk is wired (critical fixtures); wireless DMX (CRMX) across the wing hinges.

You can also click the deck to place people. Clicking a wing or the bird head is rejected (not load-bearing).

Subs / DJ on the left → use amp rack + gens + fuel tank on the right to offset the left bias. Estimate only; the fabricator on-vehicle assessment is final.

Night-inspection baseline: radical night illumination. This vehicle is NIGHT-ONLY.

More dust, stronger volumetric beams and lasers (the playa brings its own haze).

Gull-wing stow: the whole wing rotates to vertical about the wing-root longitudinal hinge (single hinge · cannot clip through itself), single wing 5.1m → overall width 3.53m (11.6ft, <13ft LCU line). The wing surface is high-transmission mesh scrim → it does not block lasers or lights and takes far less wind load. High wind (>60) auto-suggests stowing. Overturn ratio >40% warning / >70% danger.
